1856 Oval issue, 5 Kopeck blue with large pearls, T TE-B CHE PAIR with traces of an almost invisible manuscript cancel. One stamp with a very faint crease otherwise in fine and fresh condition. This very rare t te-B che DOES NOT EXIST IN UNUSED CONDITION and of all Oval t te-b che it is the rarest with ONLY 15 RECORDED (for comparison 34 of the 10 Kopeck are known and 23 of the 5 Kop. small pearls). Ex Fabergé collection (Harmer auctions 1940) and in the 1967 Grobe auction (Hannover) it was even described as unused, for this reason the Michel still notes this stamp as existing in mint.
