1843. stampless Printed circular written from Canton dated 'April 24 1843' addressed to London sent on the steamer "Oriental" with framed 'Ship Letter/ Dover' on reverse (Robertson S 11) and charged '8' in m/s with London arrival 'Oct 30' on reverse. Very scarce circular posted after the Treaty of Nanking (29 Aug 42) but before its ratification on June 26 1843.
