ADEN 1854: Indian lithographed 4a. blue & red, horizontal pair from 2nd printing, sheet pos. 11+12, used in ADEN and cancelled with clear strike of numeral "124", cut-to-shape, fresh colours, a small thinny spot at upper centre, still fine and attractive.

ADEN 1873: Duplex "ADEN.STEAMER.POINT/JU 11/73"-"124" tying India 1868 QV 8a. carmine to cover (small faults) to London via Brindisi, with red London 'Paid' cds on front, and London '30 June 73' arrival cds on the reverse. Cover opened somewhat roughly at top and the 8a. with a short corner perf at top left, but still an attractive cover bearing the scarce Aden duplex datestamp.

JUL 13" h/s in black, "R" in circle and red "REGISTERED/No. /24 JY 84/MAURITIUS" oval arrival d/s on front. A very fine, scarce and most attractive Telgram.

ADEN-DTHALI 1903: Cover from Dthali (Aden-Western Protectorate, Dhala State) to England franked with India QV 1a. tied by fine strike of "EXPERIMENTAL P.O./B-84/AP. 11/03" cds (Proud D1; in used from 15.3.03 to 19.4.03 only), on the reverse with Aden transit cds and Barnet arrival cds. The cover shows minor imperfections (slightly creased edges and a tear into back-flap) but still good. A VERY SCARCE EXPERIMENTAL DATESTAMP FROM DTHALI.
