1865 Scarce "NEPAUL/11 FE/65"-"137" British duplex datestamp (in use only 1865-1868) tying India QV 1/2a. pale blue to cover to Calcutta, with hexagonal Tirhoot and Patna transit datestamps in red, Calcutta 2nd Delivery oval in red and, on the reverse, with Devanagri number "//74//" talisman which served to remind any unauthorized person that 'to break this "seal" would be a grave sin equal to the slaughter of 74 sacred cows'.
