Oval pin of the "Health Defenders", c. 1930's-40's; 3.05g, 39.25x25mm. Hebrew legend "Shomrey Briut" at top & "Malben" below (unknown meaning - perhaps acronym of org.); at center, Star of David device with 4 letters of Hebrew word "Malben"; mis-stamped design, doubling in places. Probably a pre-State/early State era elementary- & middle-school student health organization, to educate children in health and hygene & encourage interest and awareness, and to assist the school-nurse.
