IDF 'Fitness Badge' ("Ot HaKosher") silver class, circa. 1950's; not maker-marked (probably Shmuel Kretchmer); 16mm, 2.4g. Solid-backed w/safety-pin reverse; depicts soldier in 1950's battledress 'charging' forward w/bayonetted rifle. Formally known as 'Badge of Physical Fitness', was awarded in two classes - 'silver', for exceptional performance & 'bronze' for average performance in physical fitness test performed during basic training. Test included running + an obstacle course in full kit. Scarce in such detailed, clear appearance; worn on the right pocket-flap of the tunic.
