Original photo of a soldier participating in the first IDF parade (in Tel Aviv) of 27 July 1948 (this evidenced by orderly surrounding: the next parade of 4 May 1949 was cancelled when the crowds burst into the streets at the start of the parade); here soldier wears what appears to be a British paratrooper helmet with Star of David painted on (non-regulation design).
