1897 (August): De La Rue Imperforate Keyplate Essays on unwatermarked gummed paper, in the eventually accepted colours except the 3 d. in brown on dull green; single colours for ½ d., 1 d. and 6 d.; others bicoloured as selected; each Proof with hand-painted "GAMBIA" and Duty Plates also hand-painted with values picked out in Chinese white.
