1855 turkish silver medal for the battle of Crimean between French,Turkish,Piemonte(Italy) and British alliance against Russian, Bulgarians and Greeks alliance. The Russian defeated after a terrible war with 240000 deads. There are three differnet type of this medal with different legend depending their origin. Obverse: Tugra. Reverse: The flags of the victorious countries with the map of Crimean and artilery above a Russian flag which lay down humiliated. Weight:28,32gr(with the ribbon), Diametr: 38mm. With full original ribbon. Extremely Fine.

On obverse: Bust of the "warrior republic" with inscr. “REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE”, as well “Georges Lemaire”. On reverse: relief image of an infantry rifle & flag crossed with a naval anchor with inscr. “ORIENT” and inscr. in flag “HONNEUR ET PATRIE 1915 1918”, also ‘E.M.LINDAUER’ (for the great engraver Edmond-Émile Lindauer, 1869-1942) & with Paris Mint mark. Original 37mm wide ribbon in light blue & yellow stripes. The ring is adorned by a 24mm in diameter bronze laurel wreath and half crescent. French military medal bestowed for participation in the battles of the Macedonian front WWI. In thick carton original case in purple & gilt.

[Admiral ORLOV - Naval Battle of CHESME] Bronze medal engraved by J.B. Gass, commemorative for the victory of the naval battle of Chesme which took place 5/7 July 1770 in Cesme bay between Anatolia and Chios island. It was a part of the Orlov Revolt of 1769, a precursor to the later Greek War of Independence (1821–29), and the first of a number of disastrous fleet battles for the Ottomans against Russia. Obverse: Half-length of Admiral Orlov in helmet and plumes, uniform and order, holding a baton in his extended right hand. Ribbon of St Andrew over right shoulder. Legend in Russian (Count Alexis Grigorovich Orlov, victor and destroyer of the Turkish fleet). Reverse: Plan of the action showing the position of the fleets and the surrounding land inscribed with the names of the places. Legend in Russian (And there was in Russia joy and gladness). Diam: 92mm. Weight: 278gr. Condition: Light strikes on perimeter, light scratch on reverse, signs of oxidization on lower part of face, overall Very Fine.
