Stampless envelope written from 'Ile Maurice dated '27th Feb 1848' addressed to France with framed 'Souillac/Fe 29 1848' hand-stamp and framed 'Paid', endorsed 'Ship 4d' with circular Mauritius Post Office double ring on reverse, endorsed 'via London' with boxed 'Colonies/ & Art 13' accountancy in red with 'Soldiers & Seamans Letter/By Ship/4' in black on face (Robertson In Sol 7), French entry cachet in red '27 Juin' and taxed '17' in m/s.
