Israel - 25 mils 1948 - MS64.

The first coin of the State of Israel, imprinted by improvised means during the struggle for the existence of the young state, initially planned to use the factory in Jerusalem to mint the coins. In the end, a silver factory was chosen in Holon, which was made from presses for the manufacture of cutlery for minting coins, and was designed by the owner of the factory.

The first coin of the State of Israel. 25 mils. The lowest value at that time. The issue amount is 42,000 units.

Because the coin is made of aluminum it is not easy to find one at such a high level. Currently, there is only one coin graded above 64 (graded at NGC 65).
Extremely rare.

Estimate: $1,800 - $2,000
