CHITTAGONG: Halal Shah, governor, 1597-1599, AR ¼ tanka (2.34g), ND, Mitch-LW.325, G-CG6, excellent strike, VF to EF, RRR. The precise identification of Halal Shah is uncertain. Based on his research of local history, Mitchiner has suggested that he is the Arakanese governor of Chittagong known as Maha Pyinnya Kyaw. The Arakanese inscription on the obverse is sula / maha / raza, which further supports this identification of Halal Shah.
