ARAB-BYZANTINE: Three Standing Figures, ca. 640s, AE fals (4.53g), "year 20 ", A-3501A, MIB-X43 (same obverse die), blundered mint name KYH, a confusion between Cyzicus and Cyprus, minted in Syria, officina B, bold strike, choice VF, RR. This is an historically important piece, as it confirms the meaninglessness of the mint names. The MBI specimen bears the mint name ΘHO for Theoupolis (Antioch in Syria) and this piece refers to a mint in northeastern Anatolia, 1000 miles away. Both pieces were struck with same obverse die!
