1914-18 Rare Great War Royal Flying Corps leather flying helmet made by ' LE DUX'. Classic 4 panel crown with peak & neck flap, ear projectors that can be rolled as wind deflectors or worn closed. Goggle retaining straps. Solid but well worn condition. Leather has faded to light brown & sueded in some areas. Neck flap has some nicks. No chin strap, favoured by RFC, AFC & RNAS pilots & crew. Rare helmet from Great War, very displayable. Average condition. (P)
