USA WWII Original souvenir piece of an American aircraft likely from a Marauder bomber, Mariner or Mars flying boat. Top 580mm, bottom 645cm wide, 705mm high. Original factory painted grey/blue outer aluminium with manufactures specification oval plate reading 'The Glenn L Martin Co Baltimore MD USA, date 11-18-42 Trade Mark, Name Cowl-Front-Venturi-Side-Upper left, Part no 12-959-10' During WWII a few of GL Martin's company most successful designs were the B-26 Marauder & A-22 Maryland bombers, the PBM Mariner & JRM flying boats, widely used for air sea rescue, anti-submarine warfare & transport. An interesting & not often seen relic of the Pacific Theatre of War & of particular interest to any aviation enthusiast. Has battle damage &/or crash part appearance.
