Three 100 Pfennig Anti-Semite Banknotes - 1922 - Sternberg, Germany - Extremely Rare
The banknotes were printed during the time of inflation after World War I when there was a shortage of banknotes and coins. The banknotes bear anti-Semite illustrations or inscriptions. Among them, banknotes that were printed in Sternberg (a small town west of Munich) in 1922. One side commemorates the 430 anniversary of the burning at the stake of several Jews who were accused of making Matzahs from the blood of a Christian child in 1492; the other side has three horrifying illustrations of Jews making Matzah from the blood of a Christian child and their burning at the stake.

השטרות נדפסו בתקופת האינפלציה שלאחר מלחמת העולם הראשונה כאשר היה מחסור בשטרות ומטבעות כסף. השטרות נושאים איורים, מאפיינים או כיתובים אנטישמיים. ביניהם, השטרות נדפסו בשטרנברג (עיר קטנה ממערב למינכן) בשנת 1922 בצד אחד של השטרות מציינים 430 שנה להעלאתם על המוקד של מספר יהודים שהואשמו בהכנת מצות מדם של ילד נוצרי בשטרנברג בשנת 1492, בצד השני 3 איורים מזעזעים של הכנות מצות על ידי יהודים מדם של ילד נוצרי ושריפת היהודים על המוקד בתאריכים שונים המודפסים על השטרות משנת 1492.
