ΛΕΣΒΟΣ – ΘΑΣΟΣ / LESVOS – THASOS. Rare combination of three (3) countermarks from both Lesvos & Thasos on 40 pa ottoman coin (1255). On obverse combination of 3 countermarks of Plomari (Πλωμάρι) Lesvos. “ΔΠ” [Δ(ημογεροντίαΠ(λωμαρίου), Council of Elders of Plomarion - Lesvos. Nice full struck  (Wilski G 4-04)]. A countermark written in Ottoman Turkish from Plomari (Πλωμάρι), bearing the 1306 A.H. date. Clear struck. Most probably (Wilski A 3-09b). “ΚΑΑ / 1884” [K(αζαβήτηΆ(γιοιΑ(πόστολοι) 1884, from Megalo Kazaviti, Prinos, Thasos (Μεγάλο ΚαζαβίτιΠρίνοςΘάσος). Not clearly struck (Wilski G 10-12b). Fine.
