Palestine/Yishuv: first emblem of the Hebrew Boy Scouts, circa. 1918-1920s; not maker-marked (in the style of Bezalel); size: 17.5mm; weight: 1.6g. The pin depicts the first emblem of the movement: a date tree super-imposed on a Star of David, with the Hebrew motto "Heye Nakhon" ('Be Prepared') on a scroll below. The Israeli Boy Scouts movement was established in 1918 as the "Hebrew Boy Scouts in Eretz Israel", based along the same lines as Baden-Powell's world scouting organization.
