Obverse 6 lined legend in French: "A La Ville de Lyon | Magasin de Nouveautés | Alfred Dreyfus • | Galarie du Roi No1 | Rue de Bouchers . 42 . 44 | Bruxelles". On reverse 7 lined legend: "A La Ville de Lyon | On a 3 Jours Pour Obtenir | Le Remboursement des Articles | Qui ne Conviendraient Plus | Toutes les Marchandises Sont Marqués | En Chiffres Connus | Prix Fixe". The token mentions a Brussels branch, a 3-day return period and the use of fixed-prices. The ill-famed Captain Dreyfus was on the board of a family business at the time of his case but it not confirmed if this was the one.
