In the front part of the medal the inscription "ממשיכים בדרכו וזוכים בהבטחתו, בקשת כ"ק אדמו"ר הגה"ק זצוק"ל" and immediately below it, on a scroll, the inscription "... ומובטחני שכל השותפים עמי בנשיאת עול החזקתה החודשים יתברכו מעם ה' בשפע ברכה והצלחה בכל מילי דמיטב וכל המוסיף מוסיפין לו" and below the signature of the Admor of Erlau.
In the back, the inscription "בלב ובנפש" and next to it "עיטור מוסדות ערלוי לתומכים החשובים". Below these captions a drawing of the structure of the Erlau Yeshiva.

Obverse bears image of the building with 25c on either side and the word "Souvenir" below; in double-ringed frame around, the legend "Jewish Home For Aged • Portland - Maine". On reverse images of elderly Jewish man and woman on either side of legend based on quotation from the Bible in Hebrew and English, "Do Not Cast us Off at Our Old Age" and "Keep Me | Good Luck". The home was founded in 1929 and based on North Street, where it remained until 1965. It continues to exist as the Cedars Nursing Care Center. Reverse: The Jewish Orphanage Norwood around horseshoe and in center of horseshoe, “Good luck to you wherever you are, at home, abroad, or on the sea”. This token was issued in Bronze (27mm). Norwood’s Patron is Her Majesty The Queen and its Patron of Children’s Services is Cherie Blair. The Orphanage was founded in 1795 and moved to Norwood (South London) England in 1866. It was named the Jewish Orphanage in 1928 and closed in 1963. During World War II, the children were evacuated to homes in Worthing and Hertford and the building was used by the London Fire Brigade as a training center. After the war, the number of children at the Orphanage started to decline as they became more integrated within the community.
