Israel: Israeli Boy Scouts 8th grade completion pin, circa. 1950s; not maker-marked; size: 10.5 x 16mm; weight: 0.7g. The pin depicts the emblem of the Israeli Boy Scouts, with Hebrew motto on scroll "Heye Nakhon" ('Be Prepared). The pin is awarded to scouts upon their completion of 8th grade, and replaces the pin of a fawn's-head (issued to scouts upon swearing-in to the movement), on the flap of their left pocket. This pin is dated relatively early as the metal is of a dull silver color and the back is fuller, with a period style safety pin.
Israel: Israelische Pfadfinder, Abschluss der 8. Klasse, Stift, ca. 1950er; kein Hersteller gekennzeichnet; Größe: 10,5 x 16 mm; Gewicht: 0,7 g. Der Stift zeigt das Emblem der israelischen Pfadfinder, mit hebräischem Motto auf Rolle "Heye Nakhon" ('Sei vorbereitet). Der Stift ist den Pfadfindern nach deren Abschluss des 8. Jahrgangs zuerkannt und ersetzt den Stift eines Rehkalb-Kopfes (ausgegeben an Pfadfinder bei der Vereidigung der Bewegung), auf der Klappe ihrer linken Tasche. Dieser Stift ist relativ früh datiert, weil das Metall eine dumpfe Silberfarbe hat und die Rückseite voller, mit einer Sicherheitsnadel im Zeitstil.
