Laureate bust of France left, rev Victory flying above the exhibition grounds with trumpet & wreath. 84.14g. AV 900 fine, 50mm by JC Chaplain, minor edge bruises, gVF. The Dalton brothers were Australian farmers, originally from Ireland, who had pastoral interests in Orange. They were one of the richest & most influential Catholic families in the colony. Very rare awarded to Australians. (P)
