This catalogue contains a great selection of Australian coins including Australian Shipwrecks, Adelaide Pound , Dumps , Proclamation coins, Gold Sovereigns and Half-Sovereigns, pre-decimal coins and Proofs, A major collection of Error Coins, RAM , Perth Mint and NPA products. There are many highlights in the Australian Coins including Three Australian 1930 Pennies. First is graded in VF/gVF , then a Fine and VG/VF and are Reserved at $20,000 , $16,000 , $10,000 respectively (Lots 6007, 6008 and 6009). This auction also includes a Adelaide Assay Office Type II Coins and is Reserved at $12,000 (Lot 5563). There is also a 1813 New South Wales Dump (fifteen pence). Traces of the centre of 8R on reverse. Steel grey tone VF, with all design nice & clear. Mira type D/2. McD cat $60,000. Very rare. Reserved at $16,000. (Lot 5560). Also the balance of a major collection of Australian Error coins and Varieties (Lots 6338 - 6446) with the highlights being a $1/$200 2001 1oz Silver Proof Kookaburra ERROR/MULE. This auction includes the very rare 10/- Collins-Allen (1913) circulation note. The first Australian note. VF with good colour. Rare, with only 37 examples of this note known in all grades. Also in Australian Section an Australian Specimen - $100 Johnston-Stone Specimen ZAA 000000 type 4 opt SPECIMEN twice on front & once on back, Unc housed in a Reserve Bank 2 note folder showing ea side of the note. Great range of World coins and banknotes, including Gold, silver and copper coins, medals and World Banknotes . In the World Coins is a GB 1642 Charles I Pound Oxford mint, smaller Shrewsbury horseman. King on horseback left trampling on arms, Cannon amongst arms rev legend, denomination & date. Natural flan adjustment at 5 o'clock, sl striking weakness. S-2940. Nice old-time cabinet tone, gF or better. Rare (lot 7719) Reserve $7,000. Also in the world banknote section is a France 5000 Francs 2-1-1918. Multicolor design by Flameng, large format 255 x 127mm. The highest denomination of the time & equivalent in value to 200 gold sovereigns, and thus made with special security edge at right. P-76. Very fresh gVF-aEF, usual pinholes at left.
