Large margins all around, full original gum but a small gumless spot due to hinge removal-thus the thin, very fresh color, impressive color shade, superb overall. Certificate Holcombe (1992). A major rarity as only two pairs from this elusive shade exists. (Hellas 18c).

"ZANTE ERROR": 10l orange on blue (pos.20 before the upper frame line indented), control number inverted printed on the face, canc. "ΖΑΚΥΝΘΟΣ*7.ΟΚΤ.." (Kound. 30.1). MAY BE THE HIGHEST QUALITY STAMP FROM THIS FAMOUS ERROR. Certificate Tseritis (2003). (Hellas 18dNm).

Entire letter from "ΣΜΥΡΝΑ (ΤΟΥΡΚΙΑ)*6.ΔΕΚΕ.62" to Syros. Marked "50" fr. on arrival with 5l. deep green with greyish wash in marginal pair and 2x20l. sky-blue with very strong relief, "Chiffres maigres" (typical transitional printing) tied by "67" postmark and canc. "ΣΥΡΟΣ*10.ΔΕΚΕ.62". 50l. to pay Greek inland postage and Lloyd fee. Fine and extremely rare. (Hellas 11IIb+19A).
