1858 French Ceres Essay: plate proof in bistre in block of four, with the top inscription "ESSAI 1858" and value tablet "00". A couple of very soft marginal toning spots, very fine in all aspects.

Paper, color and printing method proofs: 40l. in black on white paper in left marginal block of six. Very fine. (Konst. 6.ΔΟΚ.I).

SEMI-FINAL PROOFS: 30l. light yellowish-brown on very thin light yellowish paper. Superb. (Konst. 56 ΔΟΚ III).

1l. brown, used. Three good to large, one very narrow margins. No faults. Fine. (Hellas 1a).

5l. yellow-green used copy, small thin at top left corner, nice margins all around. Lightly print of image on reverse. (Hellas 3a).

5l yellow-green. Superb in appearance but lower left corner slightly bent. (Hellas 3a).

5l. green, used. Three very large, one very narrow margins. Fine. (Hellas 3b).

20l. blue, very nice appearance but light diagonal crease, used. (Hellas 5a).

Entire letter fr. with 20l. blue canc. "ΛΑΜΙΑ*16.ΝΟΕΜ.61" to Syros. Boxed "ΠΛΗΡΩΜΗ ΑΝΕΠΑΡΚΗΣ", via "ΑΘΗΝΑΙ*18.ΝΟΕΜ.61" with postmans cachet "1" taxed on arrival with 20l. blue and canc. dot "67" and "ΣΥΡΟΣ*19.ΝΟΕΜ.61". Both stamps with faults but still fine and rare. (Hellas 5a).

80l rose - carmine, used. Fine - very fine. (Hellas 7a).

Pre-paid entire fr. with 10l. orange on blue + 40l. dull mauve on blue, canc. "67" and "ΣΥΡΟΣ*14.ΝΟΕΜ.61", arr. "ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΙΣ ΤΟΥΡΚΙΑ*18.ΝΟΕΜΒΡ.1861" (pre-adhesive). Prepaid single letter between Greece and Constantinople was 30 lepta by French ship and 20l. Greek domestic rate. (Hellas 4b+6b).

5l greyish green, plate flaw thin circle. Also double control number (Kound. 10.1) tied by "67" (Syros) cds. Very fine. Rare and hard to find in this quality. (Hellas 11IaCF2/NoI).
