1881: 1 a. blue, 2 a. violet and 4 a. green, used on 1885 double rate registered cover (up to 2 tolas) from Dhankuta, all tied by fine strikes of circular barred "Dha" handstamps of DHANKUTA (Hepper page 9, fig. 9) in black. Reverse with Dhankuta despatch cds (Sept). Some insect holes affect the franking (only three such are recorded) but an extraordinary first issue three colour franking of great rarity.
