An extremely rare group.

Watermark Crown CC 1870/83: ½ d. claret, 1 d. blue, 2 d. rose, 4 d. brown-orange, 6 d. mauve and 1 s. dull brown, all in imperforate blocks of four printed on surface galzed card paper printed by De La Rue especially for the 1872 South Kensington Exhibition, five of the six blocks being sheet marginal (four have marginal imprints), each stamp overprinted CANCELLED in black (Samuel Type D7). A superb and scarce set.
