1862 (Feb) envelope to London, bearing 1858 6d pale rose-lilac with small to large margins clearly tied by triangular obliterator, showing red crayon '5' and red arrival c.d.s (31.3) alongside with, on reverse, unclear despatch d/stamp and Cape Town transit c.d.s (19.2), the 6d with crease at apex due to being affixed over top edge of envelope.

(Salles 1254) in red with a further strike at left, redirected to Marseilles though sent in a vessel going in the wrong direction and showing a good strike of the 'MISSENT/TO CAPE TOWN' h/stamp. (Type SP 2) partially over-cancelled with Le Havre c.d.s. (26.5), the reverse...
