1889 (25 March): Registered Cover from Rose Hill to Halifax, Nova Scotia, bearing on reverse 1880 8 c. blue and 1885 16 c. chestnut, tied by light oval '25' barred numeral, matching D2 "ROSE HILL" despatch cds in black alongside. Front struck by oval "REGISTERED MAURITIUS" and "REGISTERED LONDON" datestamps in red, reverse with oval "REGISTERED LIVERPOOL" datestamp in black, as well as "HALIFAX CANADA" arrival (5 May 89) cds in black. An unusual destination from Mauritius in general, from this small village PO in special.
