1869 Entire letter from Alexandrette to Constantinople with mixed franking of French 'Napoleon' 40c. tied GC "5079" and (on back) Turkey 1868 Duloz 1pi. and 20 pa. tied by native h/s in blue, with despatch cds and boxed "PD" on front, Smirne transit dater as well as arrival cds on the reverse. The cover with a missing part (front and back) at top and a transparent tape closing a tear in lower left. A scarce mixed franking. Signed Calves and S. Gautré certificate.
