Jahrhundert erfolgte der Personentransport in Kuba mit Hilfe von Mulis gezogenen Kaleschen (vierrädrige Einspänner mit Faltverdeckt). Die ersten Kutschen wurden ab ca. 1840 eingesetzt. In the 18th century, the only passenger transport in Cuba were mules drawn caleches. The first coaches were used in the 1840s. The company offered an omnibus line from Havana to El Cerro and Marianao.
