Air Mail Regist. cv from TLV to Long Island - USA frank 1890m (9x200m, SG #103 + 50m + 2x20m) to pay the air mail rate of 125m x15 + 15m registration, as addressed to a Bank the cv was subject to "Executive Order 8389" cachet on front (explanatory note attached), redirected for the censorship to Haifa & sent from Haifa Eastbound on 10 Dec. 1941 (3 days after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor). Cv sent by the "Horseshoe" reserve route 3 (explanatory note attached) to Australia & New Zealand & from there to Hawaii & San Francisco by NATC (Navy Air Transport Command) airplains (Thomas H. Boyle, Airmail Operations during WW2 p. 35), on back transit San Francisco Feb. 2 1942 & arrival Long Island N.Y. Feb. 4 1942; few peripheral tears, fine & unusual war time route
