1807 (May 8): Entire letter written from Braunsberg (now Branievo, Poland) to Épinal, concerning the addressee's Legion D'Honneur and recruitment for the 9th Infantry Regiment and written by the future General Meunier (with his full red wax seal on reverse), struck on despatch by a wonderful strike of three line 'PREMIER CORPS / GRANDE-ARMÉE / No. 4' in red (Reinhardt = 2'500 pts). Exceptional and very rare.
