1917-37 collection of covers and cards following 13 ships, spanning from 1909 to 1937, with small publications and relative information included. There is a 1919 cover (with letter) sent from the U.S.S. Brooklyn in Manila, addressed to the Headquarters of A.E.F. in Vladivostok, also a picture postcard of the "Brooklyn" at Vladivostok, plus volume 2 of "The Oriental Patrol", Sep.18, 1920 edition (ships and dates visiting Vladivostok), 1922 cover franked with pair of 2c, canceled "U.S.S. New Orleans" and "Vladivostok Siberia" handstamp alongside, addressed to the Philippines, also picture postcard of U.S.S. New Orleans at Vladivostok harbor, plus 1919 YMCA cover from the ship. In addition, there is officer's mail, free frank cover (plus letter of contents) from the U.S.S. Albany, canceled March 17, 1920 with Vladivostok Siberia and "Officer's Mail" endorsement, plus another letter from the "Albany", while at Chifoo, China, plus Christmas Dinner Menu (Dec 25, 1921), while at Vladivostok. There is a picture postcard U.S.S. Helena, Sep.12, 1922 endorsed "Sailor Mail Siberia". The collection continues with later voyages of the U.S.S. Augusta, canceled "Vladivostok U.S.S.R." in 1937, another cover with Russian franking, cacheted "United States Men-o-War make first visit to Vladivostok in 14 years", plus additional 7 covers from other ships such as U.S.S. Paul Jones, U.S.S. Whipple, U.S.S. Alden (cancel "Asiatic Fleet Vladivostok), U.S.S. Barker. The collection contains 33+ original picture postcards (some Russian, others American) of the Vladivostok harbor, U.S. ships, Russian naval personnel, etc. A fascinating window to the United States Naval intervention in Siberia
