Envelope with crest on flap and letter headed ‘Somaliland Camel Corps, British Somaliland via Aden’ addressed to London bearing British Somaliland SG 74, 1a scarlet (pair) tied by Burao date stamp ‘21st Feb 1938’. The Somaliland Camel Corps had a total strength of 14 British Officers and the troops to ethnic Somalis. Humphrey French was the son of Major Herbert Cummins French and was attachd to ‘C Company’ at Burao and later at Berbara. A rare item with intriguing text.
