1855. stampless envelope (disinfected in vinegar) written from Demerara dated '24th Feb 1855' addressed to Belgium cancelled by British Post Office 'Demerara' date stamp, routed via England with m/s '8' ship letter and London transit 'April 5' with 'Angleterre Par Amb Ouest' double ring and framed accountancy 'Debours Etrangers/Taxe Reduite/Port Belge' in black on face with Gand receiver '5th Avril'. A very rare mark on mail originating in the West Indies.
