1879 Cover to Torquay, England via Marseilles franked by Straits Settlements 1867 8c. yellow-orange tied by Malacca numeral "B/172", which came from Singapore and was used in Malacca from 1874-1892, "MALACCA/A/JU 27/79/PAID" c.d.s. in red alongside, Torquay and St. Marychurch arrival datestamps on the reverse. The cover, with Crown & Elephant seal on back-flap, was opened three sides and has been closed by hinges on back. An attractive cover with superb strikes of the scarce Malacca postmarks.
