Candia 1860s: Large cover with blue "CANDIA 17/6" cds and "Franco", sent to "BEYRUT 20.GIUG" (two-lines Austrian datestamp), paid "30" (on reverse). Very unusual destination, in any case a rare envelope in fine condition

Candia 1868: Entire folded letter with dateline "Irakleion 25.Aug.1868" (old Style), franked with 10sld 1864 tied with "CANDIA 7/9" cds sent to "SYROS 28.Aug". The inland postage was paid with a marginal copy of 20L Large Hermes (cleaned plates). Scarce and very fine, Diena certificate (1987)

Candia 18?: Cover only of folded letter franked with 2x10sld 1867 tied with "CANDIA 26/6" cds sent to "SYROS 15.June" cds. Rated "40" in red crayon, for the inland postage (2nd weight), paid with a 40L Large Hermes (consecutive printings 1862-67). Rare, without any indication of the year, Holcombe certificate (1993) and signature next to the stamps

Candia 1900: 20pa/10h postal card written at "Agios Georgios Falandras" (near Faestos, ~60km far of Irakleion), possibly carried by the Greek Post, showing the "IRAKLEION 17.June.1900" cds (old style), then given to the Austrian P.O. canceled with "CANDIA Oesterreichische Post 2.7.00", sent to Germany. An interesting example of collaboration between the Posts, must be researched, very fine

Candia 1914: Corner cover franked with Austrian stamps 5h +pair of 10h 1908, tied with "CANDIA b Osterr. Post 22.VII.14", addressed to Vienna, without any arrival postmark. According to Tchilinghirian the usage of Austrian stamps was not allowed and only few values should exist, very rare and interesting

Candia 1868/74: Scarce group of 14 items, all with mixed frankings Austrian Levant / Greece, two of them with 10sld 1864 issue, the other with 2x5sld (x1) or 10sld (x11) 1867. Very difficult to put together such a number of items. Stamps tied with "CANDIA" cds (type 2) and most of the letters bear the "P.P." accountancy marking of Candia. Mixed quality of the Large Hermes stamps (10 with short or reduced margins)
