1872 Third Issue (1st Printing) 5pi. yellow-green horizontal pair, PERFORATED 13⅓, along with 2pi. yellow, Perf 12½ x 13⅓ on large part of front of 8 TIMES WEIGHT cover from Alexandria to Italy 1875, all tied by "POSTE EGIZIANE ALESSANDRIA/24 LUG 75" cds. Stamps with few shortened perfs and lightly toned otherwise fine. A VERY RARE FRANKING of 12 Piaster = 8 times the basic foreign UPU letter rate of 1½pi. (= 1pi+20pa) per 10g. from July 1st, 1875 to April 1st, 1878. APS certificate (1997)
