Great Britain - War Department (WD) WWII POW Camp

War Department P.O.W.
The notes were called in and stamped - on one of the eight circles reverse -

every three months and then re-issued back to the holder. They were
permanently withdrawn from use when all eight circles had been stamped.
The name of the camp in England and the date of issue was in the form of
an oval stamp that appears either on the obverse or reverse.

Due to the British fear of spies like Jews who escaped from the German government, the Jews were held in prisoner camps.

Estimate: $80 - $100
