Cloth bound hardcover w/cardboard design on cover; 60 pgs: two-tone art-deco representations of theater on inner linings; opening essay on history of Heb. theater in Palestine by Max Brod. Subdivded by period's major troupes: "HaBima", "Ohel", "HaMatateh" & "Artistic Dance" section, ea w/opening essay (Bialik on "HaBima", Frierich Lobe on "Ohel") & pages short bio's of actors & dancers, which youthful cigarette-card collectors would complete by pasting in image of relevant personality.

Karton, Entwurf auf Deckblatt; 60 Seiten: zweifarbige Art-Deko-Darstellungen vom Theater auf inneren Verkleidungen; Eröffnung von Essay über die Geschichte des Hebräischen Theaters in Palästina von Max Brod. Unterteilt auf große Truppen der Zeit: Abschnitte "HaBimah", "Ohel", "HaMatateh" & "Künstlerischer Tanz", m. Palestine/Yishuv: "To Recruitment and To Defense" pamphlet of 4 speeches by Yitzhak Tabenkin; publ. by Kibbutz Ha'Meuchad Press in Ein Harod, May 1942; 28 pages; a "special printing from the booklet 'From Within', due to be released shortly". The speechescall for Jewish activism in labor & defense of the country in the face of the coming German Army; a mixture of concern for safety of socialist homeland (USSR) & need to protect the Jewish homeland; calls for strengthening the Workers Party and for enlistment in national defense. Tabenkin's politics were mixture of beliefs from the left and from the right.
Palästina/Jischuw: "Zur Rekrutierung und zur Verteidigung" Pamphlet der 4 Reden von Yitzhak Tabenkin; ausgegeben von Kibbutz Ha'Meuchad Presse in Ein Harod, Mai 1942; 28 Seiten; ein "besonderer Druck aus der Broschüre 'von innen', weil sie in Kürze veröffentlicht werden sollte". Die Reden rufen für jüdische Aktivismus in Arbeit & Verteidigung des Landes angesichts der kommenden deutschen Armee auf; eine Mischung aus Sorge um die Sicherheit der sozialistischen Heimat (UdSSR) & Notwendigkeit, die jüdische Heimat zu schützen; ruft zur Stärkung der Arbeiterpartei sowie zur Rekrutierung in Landesverteidigung auf. Politik von Tabenkin war Mischung aus Überzeugungen von links und von rechts.

Gorodisky. Covers De-Gaulle's childhood, military background, experience, fall of France & his positions on creating new army & liberating Europe. Intact; worn cvr w/some edge cracks. Gorodisky chaired Association of Friends of Belgium in EI & president of Committee for France in EI, until 1947.

Turkey(?): Mustafa Kemal [Atatürk] carpet, circa. 1920-1923; size: carpet only (not fringes): 59.7cm x 95.7cm. Based on 1918 photo of Ataturk, although carpet's rendition more youthful; Ottoman-Turkish leg. below. Rug may date to the period of the Turkish War of Independence (1919-1923), when Ataturk became a dominant national figurehead after his party's victory in December 1919, and Ataturk himself as the head of the nationalist Turkish government in Ankara (Jan. 1920). Rare and undocumented, fully intact.
Türkei (?): Mustafa Kemal [Atatürk] Teppich, ca. 1920-1923; Größe: nur Teppich (ohne Fransen): 59,7 x 95,7 cm. Basiert auf dem Foto von Ataturk in 1918, obwohl Teppich-Wiedergabe jugendlicher ist; Osmanisch-türkische Beschriftung unten. Teppich kann von der Zeit des Türkischen Befreiungskrieg (1919-923) stammen, wenn Ataturk eine dominierende nationale Leitfigur nach dem Sieg seiner Partei im Dezember 1919 wurde und Ataturk selbst als Chef der nationalistischen türkischen Regierung in Ankara (Jan. 1920) wurde. Selten und nicht dokumentiert, vollständig erhalten.

Netherlands(?): metal and enamel pin bearing Israeli flag, circa. 1960s-70s; not maker-marked; size: 1.85 x 2.55cm; weight: 5.65. Two-piece design (with attached safety-pin on reverse) showing Israeli flag in shield-shaped device, set against base with a European-style monarchal crown. Presumably made in a nation with a monarchy vis. the design's point of reference - educated guess is Holland.
Niederlande (?): Stift aus Metall und Emaille mit israelischer Flagge, ca. 1960-70er; kein Hersteller gekennzeichnet; Größe: 1,85 x 2,55 cm; Gewicht: 5,65 g. Zweiteiliges Design (mit angeschlossener Sicherheitsnadel auf der Rückseite), zeigt israelische Flagge in Schild-förmiger Einrichtung, mit Base mit einer monarchischen Krone in europäischem Stil. Vermutlich in einer Nation mit einer Monarchie Vision gemacht, der Bezugspunkt des Designers ist - nach Expertenschätzung, in Holland.
